Vampire Diaries and Supernatural will go on hiatus after the Febuary 11th episode and won't be back till March 25th. On the bright side as on March 25th they will have no breaks until the season finales on May 13th

'Supernatural' and 'Vampire Diaries' Taking 5-Week Hiatus

More There's good and bad news for fans of the CW's Thursday night schedule. First, the bad news: after this week, both Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries will be taking a five-week hiatus, with reruns filling the Thursday night schedule through the middle of March.

What's the good news? When Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries return with new episodes starting March 25, their seasons will finish uninterrupted with eight brand new episodes each.

While it might be frustrating to go so long without new episodes, the promise of finishing out the seasons with eight straight new episodes is a nice change of pace. Last year, for example, the second half of Supernatural's season had four episodes, followed by a four week break, follow by four episodes, followed by a two week break, followed by the final four episodes. By putting those two breaks together, Supernatural will have a more consistent ending.

The move also works well for The Vampire Diaries, since this week's new episode promises to close out the Tomb chapter of the season. Rather than stop and start another story arc, the show will get to finish out the season with one long plot.

And if Supernatural fans still need more, the show is currently running every weekday at 10am on TNT, currently airing the second season. TNT will also have a special President's Day Supernatural marathon this Monday where fans can catch 10 of the show's funnier episodes. The marathon includes the Trickster episodes "Tall Tales" and "Mystery Spot" and writer Ben Edlund's "Hollywood Babylon," "Bad Day at Black Rock" and "Monster Movie."

But still remember to catch brand new episodes of The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural this Thursday starting at 8pm on the CW.

be ragazze io spero vivamente che finisca bene anzi sono in ansia x sam xche non vorrei mai che dean si decidesse a farlo.........avete visto l'ultima puntata la 5x14 bellissima tranne x il fatto che hanno rinchiuso sam poverino
